Pinwheels for Peace

Dot Day

After reading The Dot, the students created their very own versions!

Warm and Cool Kandinsky

This week, we are learning about Wassily Kandinsky's art.  I am taking this opportunity to also teach about warm and cool colors, along with organic and geometric shapes.  I start out by showing the younger children this video from Discovery Education: http://app.discoveryeducation.com/player/view/assetGuid/BC6B6B13-1C45-4F64-9703-FC54C9F7FD5F

I'm back! (AGAIN!)

Boy, you all know how it is the first month of school...busy, busy, busy!  The kiddos have been hard at work creating, and I haven't had time to take a breath!  Maybe now that we are getting into the swing of things, I can get back to posting more regularly.
I have lots of new things I want to try in my art classes this year, and lots to share.  Please make sure to add yourself as a follower, so you don't miss anything!  I am also working on things for my teacherspayteachers store, so look for me there as well.
What kinds of things would you like to see in the shop?  Drop me a note, and if it is something I can do, I will get right on it!
Have a great day, friends!

Rainbow Fish!

I'm so proud of the kiddos and the rainbow fish they are creating! I did a step by step with them, and they are turning out wonderfully!

get the step by step here!
