Warm and Cool Kandinsky

This week, we are learning about Wassily Kandinsky's art.  I am taking this opportunity to also teach about warm and cool colors, along with organic and geometric shapes.  I start out by showing the younger children this video from Discovery Education:

I'm back! (AGAIN!)

Boy, you all know how it is the first month of school...busy, busy, busy!  The kiddos have been hard at work creating, and I haven't had time to take a breath!  Maybe now that we are getting into the swing of things, I can get back to posting more regularly.  
I have lots of new things I want to try in my art classes this year, and lots to share.  Please make sure to add yourself as a follower, so you don't miss anything!  I am also working on things for my teacherspayteachers store, so look for me there as well.

Rainbow Fish!

I'm so proud of the kiddos and the rainbow fish they are creating! I did a step by step with them, and they are turning out wonderfully!
